Booked a 3 night stay for our annual Family Reunion through an acclaimed booking agency, unfortunately we had an emergency at home and were unable to make the trip. I asked for a partial refund for this "non cancelable" reservation and was told by the booking company they would talk to the hotel on my behalf.

The following day the answer came back as NO.

I contacted the General Manager of this little Super 8 and offered to pay the difference between HIS higher cost along with a penalty to get some of my $200 back, his response was very condescending and blamed it on my use of the booking company rather than booking directly through him directly. I have stayed at this S-8 many times mostly because it is a no frills, cheap place, but will NEVER stay in this place again because of the "superior attitude" of the unprofessional manager- Wyndham Have you read some the reviews and responses that your GM pens?

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Hard lesson to learn but now you know why booking anything with places like Orbitz, Expedia, etc. is problematical when/if problems arise. Best to book direct with the hotel, airline, etc.
